At long long last we have the full trailer for Katie’s new movie Grace that was just post on there new official Facebook Page. Katie will be playing Dawn who move’s in with Charlie to help him live and get over his writers block. The movie co-stars Tate Donovan, Katie Cassidy, Debby Ryan (who she worked with on Cover Versions), Matthew Lillard, Missi Pyle and Mircea Monroe. Before the trailer and only seeing the on set photos I had a different idea in my head about the plot of this movie but after watching the trailer it looks funny, sweet, sad and like nothing Katie has done upto now and that’s so refreshing to see. The movie will be on next month at the Napa Valley Film Festival but still no word on when it will be out for us all to see but I keep you posted on when it will be.

Cinemablend – Black Siren showed her good and bad side in Season 6 of Arrow, and with Oliver locked away and Diaz in hiding when Season 7 begins, fans are wondering if Katie Cassidy’s Earth-2 vigilante will turn full hero or if she’ll return to her wicked ways. New showrunner Beth Schwartz spoke with CinemaBlend and other outlets during roundtable interviews at San Diego Comic-Con, and said we will continue to wonder such things when Season 7 begins, but did share a bit of what the Laura Lance doppelgänger will be up to when things pick back up:
So, I love Black Siren. She is so fun. What we loved about Katie and the character from last year is that you never really know which side she’s on. Is she good? Is she bad? She falls somewhere in between. And so this year, with Lance’s death — which was really sad, I’m still not over it — she has a lot. You know, she’s pissed. She’s pissed at Diaz, so she has a grudge. And so we’re gonna see her dealing with that. . . . Yeah, she’s gonna play between good and bad again, and we’re gonna see how that affects her when she wants to get revenge for Lance’s death.
Black Siren will apparently be out for blood when Season 7 begins, and she’ll have a major score to settle with Ricardo Diaz for his part in the death of Quentin Lance, among other things. Now, her specific thirst for justice in this case doesn’t seem as if it will lead her to give up her wicked ways, which means she might end up clashing with various members of Team Arrow on her vengeful quest. The positive side of Laurel’s evil streak is that things haven’t changed for her in general as much as they have for Team Arrow proper, so she’s likely been able to continue her search for Diaz uninterrupted, while the heroes have tried to keep their noses clean and names out of vigilante-bashing headlines.
As far as Black Siren’s mixups with our heroes are concerned, Juliana Harkavy teased that Laurel and Dinah will be butting heads again in Season 7. Harkavy, who shared a first look at her character in Season 7 not that long ago, revealed that the two women will still be at odds, similar to how they were throughout Arrow Season 6. But beyond the clashing, it appears each might gain a mutual respect for the other before the season ends. Here’s how Harkavy put it during the Comic-Con roundtables.
It was intense, and I think that relationship and that dynamic is evolving in a very cool way. You know, they are still definitely at odds, but yeah, there is going to be a shift there, for sure. Actually, some of my favorite writing this season has been the stuff between Dinah and Laurel.
Juliana Harkavy was such a fan of her scenes with Laurel this season thus far, it actually had her pitching the duo make their own Birds of Prey group, after the topic came up. Harkavy’s answer all but confirms that Arrow won’t feature an iteration of the iconic superhero team in the first half of Season 7, but it would seem to indicate that Harkavy thinks Dinah and Laurel will be on good enough terms that they could eventually team up for their own spinoff. Of course, Harkavy also pointed to the fact that DC is developing a Birds of Prey movie, and even though she might have thought of that as reasoning to make it happen on Arrow, we all know the DCEU has often led to Arrow excluding or removing characters from its narratives.
As I said before the first trailer for the new season of Arrow was shown at the Comic-Con panel yesterday, It dose not show a lot but we do get to see Katie in lawyer mood still pretending to be Earth 1 Laurel, Will she still be black siren?, will she join team Arrow?, will she be good? guess we will have to wait till October to find out.
unfortunately we have some bad news as much as we were all looking forward to seeing Katie at today’s Comic-Con she has had to pull out and won’t be attending the Arrow SDCC panel later today due to family emergency, I would like to wish Katie the best with this emergency and hope all is ok in the end. But the good news is we should get the see some of season 7 and with it some new Katie footage.
I have found one new (old) interview that Katie did as part of the Capital One Financial Superpower Café Campaign Launch back in April, This one is with the show Coffee With America and has a nice little talk with her.
So far it looks like Katie will be at this years Comic-Con 2018 with her Arrow cast.
Marvel Studios and HBO are both skipping Comic-Con 2018, so shows like The Big Bang Theory, The Flash, Supergirl, Riverdale and Arrow are taking the spotlight instead.
All of these shows and more will be representing Warner Bros TV at the pop culture convention next month, and the studio will even get to move into the prestigious Hall H on Sunday. As usual, there will be autograph signings with key cast members throughout the weekend, a world-premiere of NBC’s Lost-like thriller Manifest, and special screenings of The 100 and ArrowVerse animated spin-off Freedom Fighters: The Ray.
But it’s the panel line-ups we’re all most interested in, so let’s have a look SATURDAY, JULY 21
Arrow (4.15pm): A special video preview and panel with cast Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Emily Bett Rickards, Katie Cassidy, Echo Kellum, Juliana Harkavy, Rick Gonzalez and Colton Haynes. Ballroom 20.
comicbook.com -On April 27th Capital One launched their Financial Superpower Experience. The initiative aims to educate people about their financial stresses, goals, and problems through a fun, interactive exhibit featuring some killer superhero designs. No superhero-themed launch event would be complete without a real-life superhero on site, and Capital One made sure it had that base covered. Katie Cassidy of Arrow spent the day at the event, which took place less than 24 hours after shooting for Arrow Season 6 wrapped. Cassidy has been a part of the show from day one, playing Laurel Lance/Black Canary as well as the supervillain Black Siren. Since we love them so much here at Geek, I thought it’d be a great opportunity to talk about superheroes. Specifically what they mean to their fans, and what they mean to the people who play them. Cassidy was warm and candid as we discussed Black Canary, ramen noodles, and of course, cats.
So I’m going to start out with a question I’m sure you’ve been asked before: Were you into superheroes when you were a kid?
I was a fan of Catwoman. But Michelle Pfieffer Catwoman especially. Phenomenal.
Who did you look up to as a hero when you were growing up?
In terms of like, providing financial guidance it was actually my grandmother. She was very encouraging towards saving and big on saving up for buying a home which I appreciate. She kind of showed me, guided me through because at 17, 18 my parents were like, ‘Great, if you wanna pursue acting you’re on your own. Good luck with that.’ I think there’s a misinterpretation of where I come from and what family I come from and actually what my upbringing was. It’s very different than what people think. So I moved out when I was 18. I had a couple of thousand dollars to my name. It was a lot of trial and error, and I definitely learned the hard way and went through a short period where I had to ask my mom for groceries. That was about all they were willing to help with. A lot of Top Ramen.
Yeah, I know that life.
Well, don’t worry. It gets better, but I think everybody has to do it.
It builds character.
It builds character, and it also makes you appreciate it more.
